He was the defendant in more than FIFTY lawsuits alleging fraud against him. Nice how he was teaching students through his get-rich-quick real estate courses all he knew about ethical real estate investing. It is also quite obvious his asset protection course didn't help him much either.
In a statement issued Thursday, State of Washington Assistant Attorney General Jim Sugarman asserted that Kaiser preyed on those least able to understand his intentions.
"Kaiser's victims were elderly, disabled or low-income individuals -- people who trusted him to solve their foreclosure problems and were betrayed," said Sugarman, who handled the case with Assistant Attorney General Jake Bernstein. "Kaiser portrayed himself to these people as an expert in saving homes facing foreclosure, when he is actually an expert in taking homes facing foreclosure."
Here is an article from the Seattle PI on Kaiser. And here is the actual court ruling from the King County Superior Court detailing the crimes Kaiser committed. Read what Kaiser was up to and what he was teaching to his students. Here is the restitution order from the state of Washington and what Kaiser scammed from each of his victims.I have had plenty of confrontations with Kaiser over the years who is a regular in the many creative real estate chat rooms shilling for his worthless products. I knew he was a lowlife then and he has proven himself to be one now. His home study courses are junk and I told him so many times, just as I have said for years that the crap these creative real estate gurus sell is worthless nonsense that only enriches themselves.
What I find REMARKABLE is that today, TODAY, a full week after his conviction on millions of dollars of FORECLOSURE RESCUE FRAUD that creative real estate websites still continue to sell his products and proclaim him to be an amazing investor and superb teacher of real estate investment techniques.
Here is Kaiser's home page on www.creonline.com, without question the most unethical and criminal real estate website on the Internet.
Notice how Kaiser is still described:
Joseph M. Kaiser is a highly successful real estate investor who is a real doer. He is proud to be out, pounding the pavement nearly every single day, looking for the next bargain property to add to his investment portfolio. Joe started investing in real estate in the mid-1980s and soon found his niche in foreclosures and lease options. He is the master at tracking down motivated sellers. Joe shares his insights, secrets, and money-making systems in his highly informative courses.
Yeah, he's a real doer for sure. The operators of www.creonline.com and other websites who sell Kaiser's products have known for MONTHS of his legal troubles but they still continue to pitch and market his garbage just to put a few dollars in their pocket. How despicable can people get? How much more evidence does the world need to prove what liars and swindlers these creative real estate websites really are?
Kaiser has a week to repay the $3.2 million he stole from innocent people looking to save their homes. Let's see if this doer can really do.
As I have said for YEARS and YEARS and YEARS and approaching DECADES now, creative real estate is a FRAUD. The con artists like Kaiser who sell their worthless and overpriced home study courses and seminars always end up in prison, in bankruptcy court, or dead. They prey on people wanting to better their lives, make some money for their family, and otherwise bring some financial security for themselves. Instead, they waste thousands, even tens of thousands, on courses and seminars that are without merit and teach little more than how to steal real estate rather than buy it.
Joe Kaiser isn't the first creative real estate guru put out of business. He won't be the last. I know of a Denver based real estate guru who is in the crosshairs of law enforcement as I write these words and I can't wait to give him the Kaiser treatment here.
